Tevin Tutt!

Tevin Tutt is one of the many new students this year. He told me that he likes to compete in sports. He compete’s in Football, Basketball, and Track. When he has any free time he likes to work out. His favorite teacher is Coach Smith because, she is a fun and loveable teacher. I asked him if he had any siblings and he told me that he has two. Their names are Tay and Tray. I also asked him if he could describe himself in one word, he told me he would say…fun. I agree!!! he told me that he wants to be in the army when he gets older. And last but not least he told me thst his favorite subject was Social Studies because it’s fun. If you see him you need to stop and talk to him for awhile.

Betsabe Guzman

Betsabe Guzman is 13 years old and recently came to Tatum from Anson Jones Middle School in San Antonio, Texas. So far she said that it is more peaceful and quiet here compared to her old school. Math is her favorite subject because it is easy to her. Her favorite sports are soccer and volleyball and I imagine she is an awesome player also. Mrs. Garcia is her favorite teacher and we all know Mrs. Garcia’s fun loving personality. In her spare time she likes to spend time with her little brother.

Meet Denise

Denise Hernandez is 14 and just joined Tatum Middle School a few weeks ago. She came from T.W. Brown in Dallas,Texas. So far she said Tatum is a nice place, but she hasn’t gotten use to it yet. It’s a change compared to her old school. She doesn’t really have a favorite subject at the moment but if she had to choose it would be math. The amazing teacher that teaches it, Mrs. Ford, is also her favorite teacher because she’s nice and funny and that makes her laugh which makes her class the best too to her. If you haven’t met Denise yet feel free to welcome her and make her feel at home because she is apart of our school family now.

Have You Met Harlie Evans?

This week, Tatum recieved a new 8th grader at TMS. Who yo may wonder? The one and only, Harlie Evans from Tenaha ISD. Harlie plays three sports, softball, track, and basketball. She has 4 siblings KP, Grayson, Gracelyn and Stone. She looks up to her father because he’s very successful and a wonderful person in her eyes. Harlie is just a country girl thats spends time with family, go mudding, hunting, and fishing. Her favorite subject in school  would have to be social studies, she wants to learn about what happen before she was born. During her free time, she lives a normal teenage life and spends time with her love ones. Harlie decribes Tatum from her other school as being smaller but also a great school. Even though this just her first week Harlie loves it here! If you see Harlie around, tell her “Hi” and make her welcome.

Motivational Quotes

A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others.

The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.

There is no failure except in no longer trying.

Live as if your were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

Put all excuses aside and remember this: YOU are capable.

Action may not always bring happiness; but there is no happiness without action.

The good life is one inspired by love and guided by knowledge.

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.

View life as a continuous learning experience.
