Tevin Tutt is one of the many new students this year. He told me that he likes to compete in sports. He compete’s in Football, Basketball, and Track. When he has any free time he likes to work out. His favorite teacher is Coach Smith because, she is a fun and loveable teacher. I asked him if he had any siblings and he told me that he has two. Their names are Tay and Tray. I also asked him if he could describe himself in one word, he told me he would say…fun. I agree!!! he told me that he wants to be in the army when he gets older. And last but not least he told me thst his favorite subject was Social Studies because it’s fun. If you see him you need to stop and talk to him for awhile.

Shelby Brown is an eighth grader here at Tatum Middle School. Shelby has been in the Tatum District since she was in kindergarden. Shelby is 14, and will be 15 on September 15th. Shelby’s favorite teacher is Coach Burrow, as well as Social Studies being her favorite subject. Outside of school, Shelby is either hanging with or talking to her friends. Her bestfriends are Keyli Curnutt, Emily Tharpe, Joseph Triplett, Billy Paradise, and Sam Legrand. Shelby said her role model would probably be her Aunt Darla. She is Shelby’s role model because Shelby describes her as being the strongest person she knows. She says that her relationship with God means the most to her. She says that being close to God helps her through life, and helps her make good decisions in her life. Shelby is soaring high by wanting to be a chef when she is older. Her goal in life is to go to college, so she can set a good example for those around her. Shelby is a very kind, awesome, and crazy person. If you see her in the hall, stop by and say hello.

This Spring Break alot of our kids went somewhere, but Da’Calen Hicks went to Destin, Florida. Da’Calen went there to celebrate his birthday! What a fun way to celebrate a birthday. He went there with his sister, and “pops”. While they were there, they went shopping, went to the beach, and rode go-carts! What fun! Da’Calen said out of everything they did, shopping was his favorite thing, because he got him alot of new things. If he had the chance to go back, he would. If he could describe his trip in three words he would say, “Boring, Hot, yet also pretty cool.” Da’Calen would put his trip a rating of 4 stars out of five. (****) Hope everyone else had as good of a trip as Da’Calen. Indoors, or outdoors, there is always something you can do to make your Spring Break worth while. Take a trip, or stay in town, Spring is a fun time to just be yourself and do whatever you want.

Kevin? Kevin who? It’s Kevin Thomas! He’s new around here. Kevin likes footfall,basketball, and track. His favorite subject is math, because he thinks its cool. If he could be anywhere right now he’d be at the Dallas Mall. Kevin attended Tatum last year and said that there is no place like Tatum! When he found out that he would be coming back he was so happy! Once a eagle always a eagle. Now if you see him make him feel welcome here at TMS!

 Have you ever meet KJ Boyd? This guy is really tall! KJ believes that Tatum schools have a lot more opportunities than his old school. He plays baseball, basketball, football, and track for TMS.  His favorite class is Social Studies because he thinks history is fascinating. In his spare time, he works on his athletic abilities, because he wants to be the best he can be! With his little brother, Jayden wants to be a role model, because he has a older sister that he looks up as well! KJ is a cool dude,  so stop and say hello!

Have you ever ran in to a guy at TMS named Allen? Well, hes a 7^th grader here! He loves Math and loves all of his teachers:) He looks up to Morgan Langlinais, because she is smart, outgoing, and a great leader. He plans to be in band and golf in high school. He loves music and to fix electronics on his free time! If you ever see him around give him a high-five or a big Texas howdy!
