This year our Tatum Middle School cast and crew  is back again! Our One Act Play team will be traveling to Waskom, TX on Decemeber 6. The cast only has about a few days left until competition. They have been working very hard to master the 30 to 40 minute play. The cast has had rehearsal almost everyday this month. The team has even have rehearsals on Saturday. The rehearsals are closed to the public because there will be a distractions so the cast cankeep focus. Also the cast and crew usually haves 2 months until competition, and this year they only had 7 weeks to prepare before  going to Waskom. Shelby Brown said “We haven’t figured out a date to perform for the school, but we will perform on the 3rd of December for our families only.” The families must be very happy. One act play is just a simple little play that introduces theater to Middle Schoolers. Irias Barrera’s character of the play doesn’t fit her personality because her character is a tad bit more clever then she is and is always trying to figure everybody out. Before One Act Play is over the cast and crew will be like second family and we certainly wish them well
The results is Tatum 2nd place out of four schools. Congrates! They also received individual rewards. Lane Sullivan got “Best Actor.” Lois Austin got “Honorable Mention.” Marissa Varner, Jason McBride, and Keyli Curnutt got “All Star Cast.” Wow, great job everyone! The cast and crew will be performing for the school on Tuesday, December 13. Hope you enjoy “The Magic Well.” Just one more congratulation to the following students:
